A Little Piece of Towcester at Christmas

Introducing The Slow Life's Towcester Christmas Collection 2026

There's something rather special about Christmas in a small English market town.

The familiar buildings, the festive lights, the little independent shops and the feeling of belonging somewhere. It's these little things that make a place feel like home.

And this year, I wanted to capture a little of that feeling in something you can keep, gift and treasure.

So I'm very excited to introduce our Towcester Christmas Collection 2026, designed exclusively for The Slow Life.

Inspired by the Town We Call Home

When I started thinking about a Christmas collection for the shop, I knew I didn't want to create ordinary souvenirs.

I wanted something nostalgic. Something that felt as though it could have been discovered in a little old-fashioned gift shop many years ago. Something beautiful enough to bring out every Christmas, year after year.

And, most importantly, something that feels unmistakably Towcester.

The collection celebrates some of our town's most recognisable landmarks, from our beautiful Town Hall to the historic Towcester Racecourse gates and St. Lawrence Church.

Little Decorations, Lasting Memories

At the heart of the collection are three exclusive Christmas tree ornaments.

Each one features a specially created illustration inspired by Towcester, bringing a little local history and festive nostalgia to your Christmas tree.

There are three designs to choose from:

Merry Christmas Towcester – A charming winter illustration of our much-loved Town Hall.

Towcester at Night – The Town Hall illuminated against a beautiful dark blue Christmas sky.

Towcester Racecourse – The iconic racecourse gates in a snowy winter setting.

Each ornament comes with a red ribbon, its own presentation box and a numbered edition card.

And because I wanted them to feel truly special, each design is limited to just 35 pieces.

Perhaps they'll become a little family tradition, with a new Towcester ornament added to the tree each Christmas.

Christmas Wishes from Towcester

Of course, Christmas is also about keeping in touch with the people we love.

Our new Merry Christmas from Towcester greeting card features a beautiful illustration of the Town Hall, decorated with festive garlands and surrounded by a snowy Christmas scene.

Printed on textured card and paired with a gold envelope, it's a lovely way to send a little piece of Towcester to someone who might be spending Christmas elsewhere.

The Finishing Touches

I've also created a set of four vintage-inspired Christmas gift tags, featuring Towcester Racecourse, Towcester at Night, St. Lawrence Church and a traditional A Christmas Gift from Towcester design.

Printed on rustic kraft card and finished with burgundy ribbons, they're perfect for adding a little local charm to beautifully wrapped presents.

Sometimes it's the smallest details that make a gift feel extra thoughtful.

Made for Giving. Made for Keeping.

What I love most about this collection is the thought of these little pieces of Towcester finding their way into homes near and far.

Perhaps an ornament for someone who grew up here but has since moved away. A Christmas card for a friend who loves visiting. Or a little keepsake for someone who simply loves our town.

They're small things, but sometimes small things hold the loveliest memories.

The Towcester Christmas Collection 2026 is available at The Slow Life in Towcester and online.

Thank you for supporting a small independent shop and the little ideas that become something special.

With love,

Cécile
